I have noticed the rise in the last two sessions have been accompanied by heavy foreign purchase involvement(70% today),the 75% foreign holding limit not applying or what?

The last session (Friday) was around 68%.

This gives me a certainty on where to base the floor and know precisely the minimum exit pricesmile

During FED shake-out (End of Jan-Start of Feb), foreigners were selling in droves, now they are coming back. My2cents.

Is that how "smart money" is supposed to behave?

Surely? These "foreigners" are as silly as us, and as clever as us. The only difference is that they have MORE money, hence can shake the soko when entering or/and exiting.

Karuturi in a
statement said that there is an outstanding of $4 million as compared
to the asset valuation of $93 million under receivership and they are
in discussion with CFC Stanbic Bank to tide over the crisis.

Been Purchasing CFC stanbic at between 101-102.

Average price 102. 12,700 shares bought so far.8000 to go

I couldnt help but notice that the 130,000 shares ( 5 splits) at 103 ksh on the supply side, a big chunk of it moved from 110 Ksh,provided the ceiling and helped those who were buying at 101-102.

At the close of Trade Total Demand was 148,000 or so against a supply of 179,000.

Noting the bulk of the supply was provided by the 5 splits (130K).So once 103 is cleared,Demand will always outdo supply and next possible resistance will be at 110-115 ksh.

Remember Results due out on or before 1st March.

I dont predict the future but from the demand supply behaviour of today possible floor at 98-100.( I was glued on live trade transaction on this share for more than 5 hours)

luckily for you nowadays the share is liquid. I'm imaging you watching it when there were few to no trades

1St Quarter 2014 will definately disappoint in comparison with 1St Qtr 2013 and that is the time to strike when its hot. For now you could be chasing a moving but that has almost arrived at its stage....Rem the rights issue was at KShs 33.00 so should it disappoint expect mass exit.

@metaspoilt you have purchased at how much? It seems you are targeting divided and remember we have already consumed interim of sh 0.60. So I expected divided to be equal or less than 0.50 cent. Am waiting for this share at 95 to board again.

I always dont chase Dividends!

Finished my buying and i think CFC bottomed at 102!

Lets watch if any additional supply will pop at 102-103.

Watching for behavior at 105-108

@Aguy,There was a huge supply at 102 which was taken almost immediately in one buy transaction. This happened like thrice.Implies the Demand is strong and from deep pockets and also shows the level of greed at these price levels(For short term price will always be supported at 98-101.
At almost close of trading some supply proped up at 105 and 110 implying some possible resistance at these price levels

There is still some good supply on Mumias which might suppress the price around 3 bob for sometimes (Bolinger bands shaping around 3 bob).

Two scenarios;
1.Long accumulation time around 3/= until complete change of hands for upthrust
or
2.The Price will drop to below 3 again for a complete shakeout such that no surprise volumes prop up during the upthrust

19th Feb 2014-Price levels between 2.95 and 3.0(Modest volume)

20th Feb-Price levels between 3.0 and 3.15 (Volume spike and the price closes at 3.0)

21st Feb-Price levels between 3.15 and 3.0-Another volume spike.Price closes at 3.10

The behaviour on 20th clear shows any increase in demand will always be met by a good supply.

NB:Closing price IS NOT the VWAP.
