He was seen escaping through the window!

Thanks God for that ending.

This will be a PR nightmare for ethiopian airlines earlier the ethiopian goverment spokesman even claimed the hijackers had boarded the plane in khartoum while on a stopover.

Can a pilot really hijack his own plane? This seems like a case of gross misconduct whereby the pilot decided to land the plane in a different airport from the scheduled one (for personal reasons).

If a matatu driver decides to drive to embakasi instead of umoja (because of his personal reasons), can we say the vehicle has been hijacked? This is a case of indiscipline/ gross misconduct by the employee. It can only be a hijacking if someone put a gun on the drivers head and forced him to divert to Embakasi.

That guy ages 31 leterally flew that aircraft effortlessly and with minimum instrument guide in the dead of the night and landed it safely 3 hours since the ordeal started...any Kenya pilot would have dumped the passengers in the Mediterranean sea.

Believe you me, those pilots are the best in this world, recently they landed the same size jet on a tiny strip and took off on an even shorter distance at full blast!
