Will it ever cross the 19-20 barrier this year 2014?

@Obiero what makes you put Britam in the same basket as MSC, Express, Olympia etc.? However i agree on selling off Coop soon after results. One can get serious ulcers waiting for it to crawl up

It all depends on who is in the private club. There are clubs i would definitely want to be a part of.

Yes it will. It has been trading huge volumes lately. I think institutional investors are beginning to keep an eye on Coop. FY results will dictate direction of the share.

The expectation of a fixed Dividend that the bank announced may have held the stock at ransom at 18 Kes. It is expected to give a flat Dividend of 50-70 cts this Feb. But who knows? Muriuki and co may decided to give a higher edge. The share may rise to 22 on dividend speculation and issue but will continue to rise after that to a high of 32 to the next year 2015.

This has been one disappointing stock. But will hang on till I have an ROI.

This is somewhat a self defeating stock. Any time there is substantial rise in price, the sellers join the party in droves i guess more to avoid the agony. Its the slowest learner in my portfolio too. They better announce some good dividends or else we will add it to @Obiero's list

@ Obiero don't you see it go higher than that by end yr or you're leaving it for "better faster" ROI elsewhere

@boris it may go higher but i am comfortable with my exit point. actually, im headed out of financials in kenya because of the imminent fall in interest rates that may lead to reduced profitability if non interest income is not well managed/grown

Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
