Sophia The 'Nyakach Monkey

Someone tell Nyakach residents that this kind of monkey is called 'colombus'. We used to call them calabash monkey in primo.

Now Nyakach residents are shocked to see the colombus monkey and are risking lives crossing a river and walking 2km to take a look at the 'strange animal.

They believe it's a human reincarnate,so they are feeding it tea,omena,ugali etc.

Another lady believes that's it'one Sophia.

Others call him 'mzee'

The same who couldnt stand a statue erected by the Hindu are now all over a monkey, giving it food and adoration. Even suggesting it could be one of them who has come back. SMH.
