You can call me a hater but there was nothing special about Chelsea's performance last night, same old tactics by Mourinho......against the big boys he usually tries to slow down the game using his defensive midfielders (if you doubt this look for his comments after the Arsenal match) . Thats probably his most effective tactic, kawaida its hard for Chelsea to win in an open game.....Mourinho would probably prefer to have 5 defensive midfielders and one attacking mid. Anyway good result for Chelsea and Arsenal. As for Man City I said before they need Fernandinho and Yaya on the pitch, Demichelis is a defender not a midfielder.

Master tactics from Mourhino, now Pellegrini hasn't beaten him for 9 matches and Wenger for 10 matches.....can't be by chance!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

By then I'm sure Moyes defectors will be gunning for Chelsea! HAHA

Mourinho's intentions were quite clear from the moment the starting line-up was announced, kama kawaida he wanted to stifle City's free-flowing attacking play by introducing Luiz and Matic in the midfield with Ramirez free to move around something which he admitted before the match and later on worked perfectly. IMO i think Man City's chances of winning the game were reduced the moment the lost Fernandinho in that midfield, Demichelis failed to protect City's fragile defense.
"If I want to win 1-0, I think I can. One of the easiest things in football is to win 1-0. 'It's not so difficult. You structure your team from the back, you organise your team from the defensive idea, you don't give freedom to your players to express themselves," Mourinho after the Arsenal match

Before the match he said: 'When they have the ball, we will defend, when we have the ball we will atack' 'Even 11 attackers can be fielded and instructed to only defend' ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

@Mc Reggae....Its quite simple really, Mourinho invests so much on defensive minded players. It becomes very difficult to break them down especially when he decides to cram the middle with extra defenders and clog up the spaces created by the other teams. Whenever he tries a different approach Chelsea usually struggle kwanza against the "small teams".

the league has shaped up nicely - lakini I have a feeling of the top teams the one that manages to twanga all the small teams will win it.

Hizi fixtures naona watu wakinyongwa kweli kweli!!! That's a hell of fixtures! This is the kind of fixtures that made Southampton and Liverpool lose their lustre around November/December. Wenger should have strengthened his squad with players who play with vigor. Hope that decision to buy an injured Kim Kallstrom won't come to haunt him. Live Full Die Empty - Les Brown.
