Since it was funded using tax money,payments were made possible to various stakeholders. If it had been left to fund itself through willing buyer willing seller private sector method, its lack of viability could have been easily felt, thereby preventing thousands of kenyans from the loss they are going through currently. Its a good lesson for kenyans who want to invest in land and property to first seek counsel from real estate consultants/architects before embarking on the investment. I saw the Konza catastrophe even before it started. Konza will grow naturally into a city extension in the year 2030 and beyond, but not in the next 10 to 15 years. Machakos will be the place to watch next 5 to 15 years if Gov. Alfred Mutua keeps with his pace and agenda. As Iron Sharpens Iron, So one Man Sharpens Another.

Rank: Veteran Joined: 3/25/2010 Posts: 939 Location: Nai		someone bought 7acres @ 15Million problem he's still within the 10km and actually within the 2km green zone if anything ever happens there he still has to live with the nightmare of his land being compulsorily acquired by the govt. as per the govt an acre there is still valued at less than 300K. hopefully people are not rushing to buy near mutuas city because that might just be another konza.

So all kenyan tax payers are loosers in the konza project as a country. The money should have been used to fund ICT innovation at uon or JKUCAT so as to benefit tax payers . As Iron Sharpens Iron, So one Man Sharpens Another.
