Provide a fish and customer, testing and standard centre at the entrance to the fish parlour to ensure the meal is insects free and hygiene standards are maintained.

With the rising demand and the embracing of fish farming in Nyanza,Ukambani,Taita and Central Kenya,I intend to open a fish joint along Ngong road.I need ideas and criticism. My target clients are people like @Impunity and @Swenani who want to eat fish in restaurants and dont enjoy home cooked fish.

I have henceford stop eating fish in restaurants.Am planning to domesticate Kysse.

But as a previous fish monger in restuarants here is what impressed me most.
1.Provide free alcohol and meals
2.Provide free eating places
3.Have "bright fish"
4.Have a variety of fish likeomena, tilapia, ngenge, mgongowazi, even sharks and whales(fish mongers have differnet tastes and preferances)
5.Share profits with the fish to motivate and attract new fish.
6.Provide gloves for eating fish.
7.Locate your restuurant in a serene enviroment
8.Charge and arm and a leg for the fish
9.Dont advertise your restaurant(restrict access and even make it a members fish eating restaurant).

Thanks for the advise. What are the licensing requirements apart from single business permit and what are the potential returns?

None, single business permit for a beauty and massage parlour

Thanks but it is not a massage and beauty parlour but a fish parlour. What are the potential returns?

I think the returns must be very high. The last fish parlour i visited had around 7 fish mongers at 12 midday on a weekday
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

If you stock 20 fish and each fish is eaten twice in a day @4k, that is 160k per day. If you give the fish a 50% cut, you still have 80k per day, which is 2.4m per month. Minus rent etc, you have about 2m profit per month. This is good business.

True, this is much better than plots, shares and other traditinal events. The initial capital required is also not much as a fully furnished 5 bedroom townhouse goes for 450k a month, and I just need to get the fish and for advertisement it can be by word of mouth.

Oh @mawinder, I've been unable to control myself from what I'm reading.

This is not the kind of business I would encourage anyone, however I won't accuse you just like that, because things depend on the person and the situation. But I would like to ask you a question, I just want to discover what you believe before I start giving my opinion on the business.

Are you an atheist? A skeptic? Or an agnostic (doubting Thomas)? What do you believe in? Evolution? Aliens? Or nothing?
