Most of these rumors are made up by the press. Nothing at all to back them up. e.g Bluise Matuidi has been linked with Arsenal since 2011. CR7 will be constantly associated with a return to Old trafford. None of the. big teams will do business in January to avoid 'Asprilla effect '

Some folks think that given that Mourhino is finished with United and he doesn't consider United a threat (sob sob), he doesn't mind strengthening United so that we can deal with Arseno in London and Citeh at OT!!!!

Never. Man u can never sell to Competition. Not Liver pool, arsenal and Chelsea.

I hear Cavani's deal is almost done. Not bad though he cannot salvage our season.

@Kaka2za.....akina Sky sports, BBC, the Telegraph rarely get their transfer stories wrong and they don't just post rumours. Its true some of the stories are just a creation of the media but when a player is linked to Arsenal or Man Utd it doesn't mean that if they don't sign him then hiyo ni rumour. Just recently Wenger admitted that Arsenal were in for Higuain yet watu walikuwa wanafikiria it was just a rumour. The transfer business in Jan is always low compared to the summer but they will be big money moves. We've already had one with Nemanja Matic rejoining Chelsea for £21m.

I honestly believe Mata is Man Utd bound unless Mourinho changes his mind.

You've got to love the UK media, they've already come up with Wenger's possible destinations after he was spotted at Heathrow airport with a boarding pass in the morning

Five possible locations Wenger could be heading in.

1) Off to Paris to see PSG vs Montpellier to check out Edinson Cavani and Remy Cabella?

2) Off to Amsterdam to see Ajax vs Feyenoord to scout a number of possible young talents in action?

3) Off to Gelsenkirchen to complete the paperwork on a move to sign Schalke youngster Julian Draxler?

4) Off to Milan to watch AC Milan take on Udinese with a view to nabbing Stephan El Shaarawy?

5) Off on a short break before Friday’s FA Cup tie with Coventry City? Definitely out of question

Man Utd fans should be excited with the Mata story, he was conspicuously absent from Chelsea's training ground today with news that his representatives are flying into Manchester as early as tonight to discuss personal terms. He's such a good player, i just hope Moyes will figure out how to utilize him otherwise he'll end up kama Kagawa.....well that's if he signs.

Moyes has to get his team, he has to create his team. If he wants Mata, it's because he knows he could use his skills, either from the wing or No.10. Unlike Kagawa, Mata can play on the wing, but it has to be a 4-2-3-1 formation. So you can imagine Januzaj, Rooney, Mata behind RVP. Or Mata, Rooney, Valencia, Or Januzaj, Kagawa, Mata behind Rooney/RVP. But my biggest issue is in defense.

Moyes will get it right. He just needs time to build the squad. Remember Sir Alex was one game away from the sack over two decades ago and the FA win against Nottingham Forest heralded the era of success

It doesn't always work out that way, AVB got a new team of stars but still failed to deliver. Moyes style of play at Everton was a bit defensive, his team was actually quite physical....maybe he might need to change his formation.

Done deal...

http://espnfc.com/news/s...lsea-holding-42?cc=3888

This may give a much needed lift to the team and with Rooney and RvP having resumed training, I can see some light at the end of the tunnel following our semi final cup defeat yesterday.

If we could get a left back (Evra is finished and Buttner doesn't cut it) and another central defender (so that Jones/Smalling can provide cover for Rafael since it is clear Valencia cannot do that job) then I think we can now fully focus on that 4th spot position.
