Kahata has gone to Albania. Other Kenyans who went there never succeeded. Lets see what Kahata can do.

I have never fancied those middle East/Eastern Europe assignments for local talents.

With Amrouche acting as player agent, you can expect more and more Kenyans to go the Middle East. Lavatsa is gone. I expect Kiongera and Keli to follow soon since Amrouche is using his contacts. No wonder he was so desperate to get the Stars job that he offered to work for free for a few months. I bet he is making big money brokering these deals.

This is like the late 1990s when Bob Oyugi made a boatload of money sending Kenyan players to the US. Almost half the entire Harambee stars line-up left for the US on scholarships and each had to pay Oyugi a significant chunk. The man became rich.

Oh and do you remember the early 1990s when Abbas used his connections to send dozens of Kenyan players to Oman ? They were paid good money i.e the equivalent of Ksh 20,000 per month but their standard of play dropped.

Its one thing for an agent to do this. I am not sure the national coach should be engaging in such shenanigans.

As for Kahata, given his slight physique, I do not think he can cut it in leagues like Sweden or Norway where play is very physical. He will need to bulk up significantly.

It maybe early to say for sure but seems Gor & AFC are making the same mistakes Tusker made last season.
Signing bucket loads of players which leaves very little continuity.

Sofapaka humilating Gor 3-0 so far KP Cup

I see a swift return to the lower leagues for Nakuru All Stars. They should have strengthened their team with some experienced players.

To begin with, they did not deserve to be promoted to KPL. But now that they have been promoted, they should have signed some serious players.

Hao Players wao hawawesmake. Of course I hope they surprise me because the league needs a team in Nakuru.

The KPL is back and as usual Ulinzi began with a draw at Afraha. Things not so good for the former champions.
Sofapaka came out strong and right now we are waiting for the two big clubs in Kenya to showcase what is on offer this season.
AFC and Gor are scheduled to play tomorrow but hope its moved as the players need some rest after a satisfying trip in the continentals.
