Guys in social media are complaining about this photo from Vanity Magazine. They made her look lighter and people prefer her natural dark tan!

How did oprah miss out on a nomination she was lupita biggest threat at the oscars ..Now who decides who the winners are?

I wonder too. Oscar's are not easy to win. A nomination in itself is a huge success. People like Oprah have never won any. Even great actors like Danny Glover have never been nominated leave alone winning.

There is also lots of politics in it. A guy like Denzel didn't win any till he acted a bad guy in Training Day
.

Guys always say Denzel should have won an Oscar much earlier for performances like The Hurricane.

Personally I hated Denzel in Training Day, hence felt he fully deserved the award. However, guys felt the academy felt pressured to award Denzel since it's rare that one wins a Best Actor Oscar for an Action film. Same thing was said about Halle Berry for her perfromance in Monster's Ball - that black actors could only win when portraying socially detestable roles. "Coincidentally" they both won the same year.

Congratulations to Lupita for her Oscar nomination, deserved or not, she's already a winner

On Wednesday, Vanity Fair proudly announced that the 30-year-old Kenyan beauty was the subject of the Vanities section of its February issue by tweeting out a photo from the editorial.

Unfortunately they thought her skin needed lightening. So So SAD

Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

I fear she is getting overexposed.
Media and Hollywood are a fickle business. They love and sing you praises one day, and then the next they dump you.
All the same I wish her great success in her career.

The girl is scalling the heights quite fast.

This in a way helps in keeping Kenya's name up there too.

Let the world know that besides producing the best track Athletes, we also have other capacities.

Just as absolute power corrupts leaders, so does absolute fanaticism blind the people from logic

But there is controversy already. Discussion on whether she is Kenyan or Mexican.

Well, she was born in 'mehico' when dad was in exile. The name Lupita is actually derived from the Spanish Guadalupe.
