Easy man. I dont even listen to them as a group or as individuals. I'm not a fan of battle rhymes.

I f*** with lyrical mcees; the likes of talib kweli, common.. pure concious vibes.

yes sir, now you are talking, add mosdef to that list, we are good. cant get enough of common, hes lyrics are dope. anyway, i listen to all artists from project pat to nippsey hussle, i dont discriminate

Talk of classics; Respiration was a Real classic with all them cats killing it!!! "..i choreograph 7 steps to heaven,
in hell waiting to excel n make the brad leavened.."

WORD?

ooooh sh*t, respiration is hot. last year there were rumors that blackstar were reuniting and their album was set for 2014. atleast common is going to give us an album this year and also the G.O.A.T (half man, half amazing)

Word bruh!!

I'm waitng fr it to drop. Gotta bump into that a MUST listen!! Blackstar reuniting damn thts some isht.

How many mics wud u give Life is Good?

5 mics, definately. all songs are hot except i didnt feel summer on smash

I love the new sound of Salam Remi, the whole symphony n lyrical prowess of Nas is astoundingly awesome!

the album had its lows too.

overall: ad gv it five mics. It was a mature Nas lp.

now lets see what this man has got on his mond this year.

By the way Distant relatives. How'd you find it?

Excellent! there are rumors of a sequel. I felt that nas got murked by damian through

Hehe most peeps feel DR was more of a Damien Marley lp than a Nas collab album.
Sounded like jus a guest appearance featured artist. anyways gv or take his verses werent tht Bad, and neither were they the best of Nas.

Lets wait for another drop and critique it independent of past work.

Where's Immortal technique btw?

i haven't head anything recently from immortal, i find some of his lyrics to be too graphic though, favorite track is crossing the border

The manz independent, very political guy.

Anyway am surprised you dint mention "Dancing with the devil" or "Caught in a hustle" these are classics to me.

Others are "4th branch"

Damn!
We are talking abt a 2lp vs a more thn 8 lp record. I think biggies ready to die n life after death th man spit hard n consistent he takes it.
Stylewise: bigz flow n off the doom punches n wordplay vs pacz conscious lyrics n consistency. pac was socio-political who wrote rhymes n big was a street-theme freestyler. Hard to say who takes it.
we speaking east vs west coast!
fr me both appealed to me in unique ways. ts a TIE. Your take?

For me its Pac all day. Well, Biggie had mad punchlines and dope word play but Pac's story telling ability and his lyrical content does it for me. Also Pac was more aggressive , when the two were beefing Pac hit the nail on the head and didn't shy off calling out Biggie while Biggie's disses were subliminal and never called out Pac

Big was a battle mcee in most ways, dont u think if it were not for the massive respect he had for Pac He wud hv responded with a more weighty jab?
Me thinks bigz reluctance was largely due to the mad respect he had fr Pac.
Otherwse i dnt discriminate a listen of both the two mcees.
If i want intelligent hood stories ad go for Pac, if i wanted a cool nice flow n punches ad go for Big.
On another note, this reminds me of the battle between Nas and Jay Z back then.
In some ways ta more like a big (jay) vs pac (nas) battle.

Nas is a beast, he took out jay z in stillmatic. Guys are saying jigga's blueprint was hotter than stillmatic but i dont feel it. I still fux with jigga though. Favorite part in stillmatic is how nas went at his Qeens Bridge homies in destroy and rebuild

Jay was ethered, Stillmatic rekindled Nas' career.
Reasonable was a straight classic, The Black Album did it for me alil bit more than Blueprint cos it has tracks ud not press next all through out the listen aa compared to BP.
Anyways their beef sparked up both of them lyrically & That was good for hiphop at the time.

True his beats are a Wu Tang landmark.
My fav gotta be Ghostface Killer n Raekwon. I love their slang flow their diction n how they generally paint tht poetic picture.
They are working to bring out a wu album this year (thnx to The Rza).
Targetting to launch in November during their 20th Wu Anniversary
Source: Hiphopdx
But both papa wu n rza say gza n rae kinda reluctant to embrace the album. says the rest hv either penned down their bars or hv taken the beat to go pen down sth.

Raekwon has issues with RZA's beats, I remember when they released 8 Diagrams, they released two versions. Raekwon said that RZA was trying to be too orchestral with his beats. Rumors are that A Better Tomorrow will be their last album together, hope not. I also like Method Man when hes rapping on Wu tracks, hez a different Meth

You have a point on Meth, never really liked him as an independent artist but on Wu he be a whole new mcee.
I really hope them dudes will sort themselves out n agree to work tgether on more projects.
RZA is an important element in Wu always, Rae adds sth to the whole package too. So this symbiotic rltshp exists n they must both acknowledge thatt.
