And now it's in the 9pm news! What publicity. My niece runs a video shop and says they are closing midnite to make enough copies. People are even paying in advance!!!

Had waited for it long enough and finally watched it last week.

It is an adult movie and does capture the stock market plays as is/was!! It may scare 'hello' investors :)

comments on the fb page to the Film Association and the 'ayatollahs' on their board are well deserved!!! Buure kabisa.

Hadn't heard of this movie prior to jana evening but as soon as I heard it had been banned, I went to the torrents. Downloaded in four hours then skimmed through to get an idea of what it was all about.

My thoughts:

This is clearly an adult movie as ecstasy has put it. Borderline pornography. One of the first scenes has Leo's character inhaling a powdered drug from a woman's bum hole.

Plenty of nudity and all types of sexual activity are portrayed. Even some gay scenes are thrown in. Also characters are depicted using hard drugs on numerous occasions.

I didn't follow the story but wondered to myself whether all the graphic sex and drug use really added to the plot. That is for the viewer to judge.

Deleted it after 20 minutes. KFCB was right to ban it: we could do without such filth on our movie screens.

The movie is based on Jordan R. Belfor's memoir. So if you are pissed at the movie, imagine, someone lived it.

Sometimes, movies are just a reflection of the societies we live in and vice versa.
If you stay ready, no need to get ready.

Surely mister, you can't review a movie by flippin through screens. Imagine flipping through Lord of the Rings or Transformers smile

It was core to that storyline..

In the same line of thought, why hasn't anyone banned our 'dirty' yet local 'mugithi' songs?..

This is a secular state. Give adults their free choice.
