Invest globally rather than restricting investments to local stocks and bonds in order to maximize wealth. There are other bonds and stocks around the world than yield more. I usually hear about a portfolio on investments in local companies, never heard any with global ones. Like day-trading bonds, they are relatively low risk rather than sitting on bond positions for long as inflation eats into them. On a long enough timeline, the life expectancy of everyone drops to zero.
