Sorry all...I was wrong....Orange has not launched 3G but has launched 3G+ internet. Speeds of up to 3.1MBPS.

FYI,to all who thought KDN was live on seacom.

KDN went live on seacom,yesterday August 1st 2009,since i know they haven't connected all clients,you can go and ask them for the bandwidth now.

Has anyone used 3G+ being touted by Orange Kenya?

@ VituVingiSana
I went to the Orange offices on Penoni Road on Saturday. The first thing I did was to check our speedtest.net on the modem.
The attendant told me that they were not yet connected to the under sea fibre after it posted speeds of 256kbps.

@Riddler DITTO

Did exactly exactly the same thing,on exactly the same day,and got exactly the same result. Didn't have the conversation with the guys though - no need for too much talk.

Adverts can be very misleading '3G+ on CDMA network with coverage in all major towns'. Seeing is believing - nothing short of that.
