In brief: GPS satellites send location, speed to the unit located in the vehicle, when requested (through an SMS command),the unit retrieves the GPS data and transmits location and speed data of the vehicle directly to a cell phone over a GSM /gprs cellular network.

I actually think that having coordinate is what make it shows you excetely whre the car is. Example. I installed my car with a tracking system. It keeps telling sends me an sms saying something like. The car is in '500m 128 degrees NWW of KICC' when not lloking for car it makes alot sence as the car is somewhere near KICC. when looking for the car,you realize it not possible to get it! as you have to know where KICC is,(assume your are not from nairobi),then have a campass which shows you where NWW of KICC is. after getting that, then you have to need to know, then you need to know,in KICC where you start to measure the 500m. KICC has many corners, which I guess from I corder to the other may be 300m.

If you manage to get start point (I dont know how you get it) then you have to measure 500m straight. That means, you have to crimb over building and etc with something which measures the 500m. because the 500m is not along the road. is straight line.

Some one who can get that car tell me?

Assume you are not in nairobi, you are out of town? its even messy.

My friend has one with cordinates, when he enters those numbers,we see presisely where that cars is.

any one with an idea of where I can have mine changed? and I will not paying anything monthly?

@extrablessed…YES! please get intouch for a demo.

@Provider…This one gives coordinates. Using the coordinates you get the exact location and the nearest named location.

Plus you can use the scale to get the exact distance from the known location

Pirate,

Somehow similar to wat I was saying below which nobody seems to think is a solution.....people just like paying for sometimes mediocre services when you can device your own methods!!!!!
