When you want a child, does it matter how you land? hahahahahhahaha.

Xavi is now getting old and injured poor guy, must be so frustrated.

Results and trophies definitely matter for the fans but for the players it has to be more than that. As a player you need to enjoy the game and feel you are being properly utilized based on your skills....that will help you develop as a player. Hata Abramovich wants attractive football...

Coming from an Arsenal fan, I think you should be siding with Mourinho on this. If the Gooners were to play beautiful football for 20 years with no trophy, would that really matter to any one? Xavi can say that coz he won trophies and is irked when teams don't play a la Barca. You think Chelsea fans and players cared more about football style than winning the Champions League? Players will be remembered for what they won, unless they were exceptional, kama akina Muhammet Yavuz, who we know as Augustine 'Jay Jay' Okocha.

Well said. 10 years of beautiful football has landed Arsenal jack sh*t, while in the same period Mourinho has won Champions League twice with two different Teams. When you look at the Cup, do you see the name of the Team that won or do you see who played pretty football?

Results mean everything, everything and everything. Ask any Arsenal fan...Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly they cry next season for a decade...

@Kularaha......My friend, Xavi has not talked about Arsenal so you don't have to make irrelevant references. What we are trying to address here is Mourinho's tactics as viewed by the players not the fans. For the fans trophies mean everything but for a player like Xavi (or Casillas) who has won almost everything available in football it becomes less of a motivation.

Buda boss, we brought Arsenal to show the argument in context. Like I said, Xavi has won everything, so he is entitled to his opinion. But his opinion is not gospel truth. There are very many managers in club football, Mourinho is one of them. Despising him doesn't necessarily mean he is a hated figure. So Arsene Wenger develops players, they feel nice expressing themselves through the Frenchman's tactical and technical nous. But what happens next? They want to win the damn trophies. Off they go to clubs where they can achieve that. That's a fact, a cold hard fact.

Ever heard of Catenaccio? That was Italian defensive philosophy. Wachana na Tiki-Taka. Not everything is about attack! attack! possession! possession!

Xavi is regurgitating old news...Mou no longer manages Real, he has moved on.

I would suggest Xavi also accept and move on....to retirement.

Xavi is KING.

I can bet once he retires, he will transform seemlessly into coaching.

He already inputs into the lineups for Barca and Spain

I think it's been well publicized that most of the players who have left Arsenal have done so to pursue a better wage.....sometimes trophies are just a bonus that comes with the perks. You are all faulting Xavi yet Mourinho was pushed out of Madrid by a huge section of the fans and his own players including his CR7. Btw si he was kicked out Madrid becuase of the same issue being raised by Xavi!

@Mc Reggae.....One of the reasons why Drogba, Essien and Mikel adore Mourinho is because he's a huge fan of African players.
