More on resolutions .....especially of the 'I will quit doing xxx this year' variety, where xxx is a vice or bad habit. Making the declaration is not enough. When you chuck out something from your life, it is necessary to replace it with something else, hopefully better

. Nature abhors a vacuum.
So, it is very difficult to suddenly stop lighting up or drinking and imagine the body and the mind will easily let you go. The craving gets so intense you fall right back in. Gotta fill it up with activities to take your mind off it,..exercise, hiking, camping, bike riding, join a choir etc etc
