Walcott's season is over, he's out for six months which means Wenger now he has to sign though we still have Gnabry and Ox who's expected to return next week.

@ TAZ, do Serge N Alex play same position as Theo?

Theo is irreplaceable. Not other player has that kind of pace. Alex is more suited for central role. Serge is talented but he is a young lad and needs protection otherwise Stoke city and West ham will ramsey /diaby him.

Morata will never make at Real, hope he moves to Arsenal. Jackson Martinez is 27 yrs and has done well at Porto but is a big gamble at a cost of 30M.

Athletico creditors know they will recover more if they make to CL semis rather than selling now so that one is definately off.

Walcott definitely has more pace compared to those two but other than that I would say they are all evenly matched. Gnabry is muscular and appears to already have the “football brain” it took Walcott several years to develop. German boss Low is actually considering Gnabry for the World Cup squad.

As for Chamberlain, he's one of the best wingers in England. Like any other winger he can play through the middle but its on the wings where his pace and dribbling can be devastating, and he works hard to help his full-back. He can shoot with both feet and his crossing is decent. Midfield might be his preferred position but at the moment its congested with players who are better skilled than him. Wenger has been using him and Poldi on the left flank but he has played in the right several times for both England and Arsenal. If Walcott doesn't recover in time for the WC then Ox will be his replacement.

Anyway almost all our midfielders are very good wingers so I really don't think that's a position which would really worry Wenger. Besides Walcott only returned from injury in mid Nov so you can't really say he has contributed much towards Arsenal success so far. Wenger wanted to use him as a back-up for Giroud at the front but now he has to sign a striker.

@TAZ Gunners were not affected by Theo's earlier absence because Ramsey was in excellent form. Theo picked up. and hit 5 in 6,another player has to take the mantle now. Step up
Santi Carzola!

Wilshere, Rosicky and Ozil were our main players on the right flank when Walcott was injured....Ramsey was mainly being deployed through the middle which would explain his impressive goal tally. Carzola will take up Ramsey's role in the middle of the park with the other three being rotated on the flanks. Poldi, Ox and Gnabry will be their replacements.

I was actually refering to goal scoring. Ramsey and Giroud are on a drought and Theo had started banging them.

Arsenal really missing naturally wide players. Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil and TR7 are more of L&R Midfielders rather than wingers. None of them can run behind defences. BTW Poldi will most likely leave in summer because Wenger doesn't fancy him.

Our number one target is still Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata on loan plus we are also in the market for a defender. I think going for a loan deal now would probably be a good idea because several top strikers will be available after the WC.
