I know most people don't believe that homosexuality is innate, but to each their own, i won't debate anybody on that. It's futile so let's not even go there. on cue! @hamburglar kindly tell your white folk that one is culturally acceptable here and that their culture is not superior to ours. it may have some nice things that we can assimilate but not hook line and sinker. Maybe if they could learn to accept the one we accept first before lecturing us on the other. Nobody is lecturing anybody on anything Magreens. It's up to us to assimilate what we think is progressive and dump what is not. In my opinion, polygamy is retrogressive for the reasons i have stated in those posts above. Homosexuality is not a choice (my opinion) so we can't tell people to accept it or reject it, we only need to be tolerant towards these people and learn to live and let live. It's really none of our business what two consenting adults choose to do in the bedrooms. Really, we need to mind our own business. Unless somebody directly propositions you for gay sex, then i don't see any problem here. These people are born like that and they have a right to live their lives just like everyone else without being discriminated upon. It's really a very simple issue but holier than thou characters here who purport to love their neighbors are showing their true colors by spewing hate against people who only just happen to be a little different from them. I wonder why people care about other people's business so much. Don't people have better things to do with their lives? It's sad and i feel sorry for humanity. Moving on. Exactly, its not really our business, thus I dont know why they want to force it down our throats...If they could quietly go on with their business without shouting about it, that is ok. Even those who chose women do not go forming lobbies to demonstrate. They close the door, do their thing, and the only proof that it happened is mostly a pregnant woman. Or if they decide to come to wazua and ask for advise based on "My friend slept with a neighbour's wife..bla bla bla". If they did their thing without 'forcing' us to 'accept' them, then that is fine. When US/UK Govt pegs aid on how your country deals with gays, there is a problem. By the way we are always against govt intefering with marital issues. That is why even the marriage bill was divisive here.

Gay people are not trying to recruit you or shove anything down your throats, they are fine with who they are and who they date, they don't want you. lets face it, homosexuals have always been with us. they lived relatively quiet lives and no one really bothered them until they started shouting from the roof-tops that they want 'rights'. if they were bright they would continue about their business quietly since this environment is hostile to them. the problem is that the fundamentalist views of the west ( once it makes its mind on something it cannot be persuaded otherwise). All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

There is a difference between inherent and unwitting traditions. We are more educated now so we know what's inherent and what' was acquired through generations. Acquired backward traditions can be eradicated through civilization but you can't get rid of inherence. Polygamy is and was always a choice but we can excuse our forefathers for practicing it because they didn't know any better. Decades past, in African cultures, people were not as civilized and couldn't reason beyond their primal instincts. It's a new generation so let's move away from such nonsense. Marry one woman and one woman only. We are not in the jungle anymore.
