The pain of witnessing a club win title after title. If we are useless then what are Arsenal and Liverpool?

Right. It is a question of when they are coming, not whether! Finally we have a Scholes..

But we ain't useless smile smile

"Yes. Absolutely. There is not even a doubt. Barkley has a long-term contract. The first half of the season has been a real joy to see him grow and the second half of the season will be even better." Roberto Martinez on resisting big-money bids for the likes of Barkley and full-back Leighton Baines.

Ati the £50million offer for Barkley being quoted would not even be enough to get him on loan. I honestly do not think Everton will sell any of their top players this January. They are in a very strong position in the league and i'm also sure their players have taken note of what has become of Fellaini at Man Utd.

The talk by Martinez is a Joke, Mind games to try get value..We all know that. Other than Man u and maybe REAL, I have not seen a club which stands on the way of top Player who is ready to Move. Certainly not WIGAN. Then again, David wheelan the WIGAN chair is greedy Vibaya..Baines and Barkley are both headed to cannington.

David Levy, the Chairman at Totten ham Swore by God's name last season but he sold bale. So the talk by Martinez is Just Mind games. And Its shocking how people have ruled Man u out coz of the current teacup storm at old Trafford. As a matter of fact, have we started a season strong since 1818? ..And how has the finish been all through?

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

Would it not be a good thing for Arsenal to be thumped by Spuds? That would loosen strings (and also break obstinate Wenger) and maybe bring in Costa.Just thinking.

@ njunge, I like your thinking could work the magic that Aston Villa unleashed of AW

Diego Costa is going nowhere in January. Athletico have a good chance of winning the La Liga and Costa is enjoying form of his life. Why move in a World Cup year and risk loss of form?

I'll give you several reasons why:

- Chances of Atletico beating Barca and Real to the La Liga title are quite slim. I don't think they can win this year's CL. They were in a fairly easy group and i wouldn't be surprised if they got knocked out by Milan in the knock-out stages.

- Atletico have a huge debt and Costa is on very low wages at Atletico Madrid.

- He's currently Spain's best option at the front. Btw why do you think his form would drop if he joins Arsenal and in any case its not like akina Torres and Soldado are in top form. The WC is only 5 months away, unless he gets inured between now and then he should be in the WC squad.

- You might disagree but Arsenal are a bigger club than A. Madrid and the EPL is better than La Liga. This has been Costa's best season so far but he isn't quite a world class player, it might probably be his only chance to move to a better club kama Bale. I believe Atletico gave him a new contract recently so that they could earn more money from his sale.

Last of all, Costa is fully aware that Arsenal are desperate for a new striker and if he moves to the Emirates he'll walk straight into the first team. His style of play also suits Arsenal.

I'm not sure what our chances are of signing him but i'm almost certain he would be tempted to sign if we made a move.

frivolous.
Deluded de runner up is an ambitionless player who's used to ALWAYS being number two. Should have committed suicide in April 2007.
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.
