Kenol-Kobil is set to begin the new year with a high note. This is your year Mr. kenol-Kobil. This year 2014 is where you have to prove your worth as an oil magnate with all the assets you hold. Its 2014 that you will pardon all who tormented you and grow in profits again as well as regain your position as the best capitalised stock. It will be the year smart suited suitors will appear to seek your attraction. It will be the year you will move back to 15-18 Kes a share with dividends back in action. It will be the year you may even think of share bonus as you announce the 2013-4 FY.

where's this coming from. that div looks very unlikely. the only way that can happen is PAT of 1.5bn++. and after last years loss I would expect a less conservative dividend regime going forwards

A bonus is more likely than a dividend when KK is trying to reduce its debt levels. I am not saying there is a bonus [which is a waste of time & resources coz of costs distributing it]...

A better 'result' would be to have a positive OPERATIONAL profit [& a PAT after deducting gains from sale of properties] ... A positive PAT [from operations] would benefit KK's share price.

Remember that they also sold some assets but I doubt they'll pass any of that to the shareholders. I haven't seen any news on KK participating in the lucrative open tender from when they were admitted back. That to me might be a bit of a red flag meaning they're still a risk to financial lenders who would leverage them to participate. They'll need to do a cash call and I don't know from whom.

BBI will solve it

No, I don't care for 'break-even' since it is not a measure that one should use. The assets + potential in the current market = 12/- ... though I may change/modify my view depending on the Operational PAT. I don't care much about the Asset Sales except for the use of the funds.

@2012. When did they do that and what did they sell? Were the proceeds significant?
