Already discussed this Kenyan behavior of coming up with laws and decrees that sound very nice on TV but stupid when reality bites.
There is no empirical evidence that shows that traveling at night causes accidents more than having roads with potholes and compromised gov't officials.
There are accidents during the day too. Why not just ban travelling by public transport day or night and force everyone to use aeroplanes since they are safer.
I don't feel much for coast bus. After seeing their online shenanigans that is one bus I will never go with.
but at the same time, you have to wonder about a ministry that just decides that it is banning another mode of transport.....wait for it....Not banning ALL night transport
But licensing you to travel at night. Heck lets add another layer of taxation, that should save another life.
So a transport company has to have road license, certificates of good conduct, TLB, insurance, join a sacco, bribe police, bribe toll stations, then add another license for the night.
By adding another law and another license and another tax, we are surely surely finishing the idea of accidents in Kenya.
Soon and very soon, we shall have a license for seat belts.....wait for it.....they must be installed by a chinese company.
Jose: If I make it through this thug life, I'll see you one day. The Lord is the only way to stop the hurt.
