Anti-pornography is good for Ug. Some of national newspaper kama Red pepper and the banned Onion could only be read in locked rooms. It was coming. I remember a Ugandan friend of mine blasting Kenyan papers and asked 'how do Kenyans read their newspapers without naked girls gracing the pages?' . Good for themn

Uganda's ethics and integrity
minister, proposed the legislation earlier this year,
he said that women who wore "anything above the
knee" should be arrested.
The bill needs to be approved by the president
before becoming law.

What negative impact does a mini have on a developing economy?

Anti-p I get. Though I could argue what a grown adult does in his/her simba is up to them, as long as it does not involve minors.

Mini's do not fall into that category. The problem is with what people think and try as you may, you cannot regulate peoples thoughts. I mean, some long dresses are more distructive to the mind than the banned minis!

...Red Pepper is widely read...And I wonder how this will help when nearly all girls from Kampara University line up Kabalagala street at night to earn money for tuition! The street from Imperial Hotel all the way to Garden city Mall is lined up with naked girls at night....ABK

Uganda is a good example of why presidents should have term limits.

Miniskirts should not be the thing occupying the minds of old men (average parliamentarian) let alone a 70+ year old leader of a country categorised as LDC

First of all, I don't discriminate, I have western idols, eastern idols, christian, bhudhists, muslims etc.

His response does make alot of sense, and he is right in his own way, the problem is that he is unwilling to let other people choose their own path, Uganda is not just Museveni, there are another 30 million Ugandans, he should not purpot to represent them in personal choices, he is a political leader, not an "idol"smile smile . If a Ugandan lady has killer legs and she wants to flaunt them, let her be, trust her to make the right judgement on when to show leg and when to hide them.
