"Orders stopping the health workers strike extended by the Industrial Court to December 24th when the case will be heard." Does this mean the strike is valid for the next 7 days? Its still invalid...there were initial orders to halt the strike. possunt quia posse videntur

Matters County salary, can they be increased/decreased without input from SRC? If you stay ready, no need to get ready.

Alfred Mutua is using the time tested and trusted strategy called "exploiting chaos". Governors who are stuck in the politiking mode will never know what has hit them and the same with their counties.

Dialogue should be given a chance i wonder if all governors would agree to be paid from the their county budget .. The greatest wealth is health.

How should a doctor be paid? Doctors should be able to pay themselves as much as they wish, and still reduce costs to the economy. Our problem is how we understand 'health' and promote it.

And the ruling was that the devolution of health shall not be reversed. Where does that leave the doctors' argument?

Seems gavanas with their swollen little egos have softened their language, since unlike before when the president/govt took all blame, the public n medics seem to have directed their anger at them. TULIA.........UFUNZWE!

Shak wrote:The law talks about 30pc of staff coming from outside the county. However based on the lists of shortlisted candidates for various posts advertised in the papers in most counties, all are from the parent communities. Where is the recourse in this? Aren't doctors therefore justified in fighting devolution of this kind? Question for @shak.... did the "others" apply? When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

Maybe they don't trust the courts just like Baba, who termed it korti bandia.

In the last garment in any strike the minister would be blamed here in wazua especially if from ODM......this now never happens...SMH Uhuru tells the medics to think of us sick people and get back to work, and then adds that the devolution of health services will proceed as planned. He urges governors to "make alternative arrangements"- ie find other medics - if our doctors refuse to go back to work......... The goverment MUST seriuosly sit down and address this issue!!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

Medics should just go back to work. Central govt is afraid of backlash from opposition, waithereros of civil society and the governors should they intervene. And the magavana want all powers and responsibilities now. While the medics want us to believe they are not against devolution of health services, they're giving it away with some of their arguments about hiring. Our health sector is ailing, the medics are not making it better by withdrawing services leading to deaths!
