Today, you even have the option of practicing yoga with guidance from online yoga websites. Most of these websites offer you with some videos related to how different practices under the category are carried out. You also have the option of choosing a yoga instructor online and to practice under his supervision. When you do not feel like sticking either of these options to practice yoga, you can consider purchasing some best yoga dvds from different sources on the internet as well as on the offline platforms. Irrespective of how you plan to practice or learn yoga, you could make the learning more effective by considering the below mentioned aspects.
When practicing yoga, it is an essentiality that you give priority to breathing that anything else. As a matter of fact, if you cannot do an asana right, it would do you good if you at least breathe correctly. If you concentrate on breathing while practicing yoga, you can be certain to earn more out of what you are doing. The next factor to be mindful about is the flow of the practice. The other day I realized that I have been a yogi all my life. And when I look even more closely I realize that what is lacking for the masses is consciousness of what yoga really is.

The word 'yoga' itself is now grossly misunderstood, and the eight limbs a mystery that few wish to consider. So in the end we are left with stretches and well trimmed bodies but empty souls.

Yoga isn't just a joining of mind body and spirit, it is a transformation of the self. It's exercise for rethinking.

The mat is holy ground, the poses divine forms; products of discipline and the stony way that is austere but sure. Yet paradoxically it's the happiness that we all seek. Power, balance, flexibility, joy, kindness goodness . . . but all this is clouded, and we run to India. Thankfully we meet Calanus and Alexander the great. And running through the times you discover as an Afrikana I don't have to say 'yoga', I say 'Ntuizi'.

Could that explain why I spent only ten minutes on the mat today? I wanted to dig deeper inside, and there was my subconscious resisting and tearing me off the mat. In the end I went to some quiet place to sit and think. One needs a map, despite the breath. . .

You don't dig deep.You just follow the breath and it takes you there.It's the conscious with its thoughts and emotions that resists being put aside.

'Didn't'. And yes the self conscious is usually the hindrance. Hence the 'map' that changes the conscious to a form that allows delving into the subconscious. And these are the other limbs. Yoga can't just be breath.

Yoga means to join, so does 'Ntuizi'; does joining your mind body and soul, also join me, and perhaps join us?

I don't know.In body we are joint.In mind to some extent.In soul,I am yet to detach enough to appreciate it but I would say yes.
