Hi every one,
i need advice on which sacco to join and what i need to join one.
I am employed in a private firm that has no pension or sacco.
I would like to join one at the end of this month. A friend advised me to visit hazina sacco and CMC sacco,be he didn't have much info on them. Do these allow non-civil servants or non-CMC staff to join? Can they (or any other sacco) be reached on email/phone?
Regards.

If you have an apple and i have one apple and we exchange these apples,we will still each have one apple.
But if you have an idea and i have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.

The key is getting guarantors when you need a loan. Join a SACCO that has members you know and would be ready to guarantee your loan with their savings.

@Robert O. If u were from my place I would recommend a rural based SACCO that gives loans up to 4 times ur shares and you can use property as security. Interest: 15% pa on monthly reducing balance.

Hotels will always serve the fruits/vegs of the season. In stocks,ur duty as a trader is to identify the HOTshare of the season.

Robert,a good idea.

There are nowadays church based Sacco's. I know Catholic Kariobangi has a very strong Sacco and they do not restrict members.

Layman's idea is also brilliant.

Is there one that does not require members to guarantee loans? I am terminating my membership with the current sacco because they do not have any means of tracking the the guy who takes off with their loans, they simply take the money from people who guaranteed the loans with little attempt to reach the person who took the money. I have repaid loans for three guys whom I guaranteed and now feels it is a great liability to be a member of this sacco. Is there a better one out there?
