BIG QUESTION!!!!Poor design. the station should have been on the LH side of M-road on your way to town. As it is now the station will best serve the residents of Mukuru kwa Njenga nd Mukuru kwa Yaba...how many of them own cars??? Thats why I said I needed to be included in this rail thing sooner rather than later. You will have to go all thru past Merali-City then turn back towards Mayakos and branch at GM then get lost somewhere kule ndani, by the time you locate the Imara Railway station the train would have gone. And the accidents on that GM accelation lane!!! The accelation lane is so short you risk being hit by nincompoops from town. Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

Business Daily wrote:Rail operator Rift Valley Railways (RVR) wants the government to build a second line from Makadara to Syokimau as it targets commuters from the usually congested Mombasa Road.
A second line would allow the company to deploy extra trains, raising its carriage capacity substantially.
RVR chief executive officer Carlos Andrade said that they were in talks with Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) over the line but did not give any date when it might be built.
“We are discussing technical issues with KRC to double the line from Makadara to here (Syokimau) which will help us to improve the service because then we can have more trains running,” Mr Andrade said.
There are double rail lines between the Nairobi Central station and the Makadara Station. The Nairobi-Syokimau line which has stopovers at Imara Daima and Makadara stations has continued to attract commuters keen on beating the traffic jam on Mombasa Road. http://www.businessdaily.../-/10ymntxz/-/index.html"There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. SIMPLE HEADS. You dont need a single extra track on that route. They have not exhausted the capacity of the current single line. What they need to do is to have trains departing every 5 minutes to increase capacity or better still run long trains with more carriages. Double track is needed basically in areas of high traffic and where the trains dont need to stop and wait for those moving on opposite directions to pass.
