@bkismat sorry for the long response, it was not meant for you, it was meant for @quicksand. He questioned the need for hijab, and I had to answer to him. @quicksand I hope I answered your concerns satisfactorilly.
In summary, we have a law that allows people to practice religion. And if Amina claims to be Muslim, then she should practice Islam. But if she chooses to disobey, then that is between her and God. But the ruling according to Islam, I said it is mandatory to cover her body other than her face and hands. But if she does not like it, then that does not mean Islam allows. But no one will force her. What you need to know is that Islam is addressing situations where women bodies are sexualized, wearing hijab ensures the sexuality of the woman is in her control and people to deal with her brain and who she really is and not judge her by her body. If you really wanted to talk about the situation of women, then talk about all the eating disorders, all the plastic surgeries being done all in the name of having a perfect body. As far as Islam is concerned, hijab is liberating, it is empowering.
I know @quicksand would like to see our women walk around exposing their beauty, just like others who sell their mothers and daughters on billboards, no Muslims don't want to sell their mothers, wives and daughters on billboards.
