I remember how Aaliyah was in the cover of Vibe the very month she died. Such wasted talent. Even the bubble gum rappers then were more tolerable, who can forget Lil' Zane, the 502 Boyz, the No Limit crew. You just had to take me there....*sigh* Post-2000, i feel is exactly the time when Mainstream hiphop lost its direction. Guys started to put out mediocre lpz. Illmatic
