I read it somewhere where there was a discussion of safaricom's potential for data income/revenue.
*Please note that this is NOT the same as 1.5mn unique users with modems but includes those who occasionally use their phones to access the web.
**Many users (like myself) use BOTH modem & phone (different SIMs).
***You can buy a corporate router/modem that allows 5+ users. So one SIM but 5+ users. Could they have been included as 5 not 1?
**** The 'free' or discounted modem promotion really jacked up the number of modem users. Of course,I have no idea how many are still using their modems.
***** Safaricom says one use every 3 months counts you as an active subscriber. Could the 1.5mn data users include people like me (3 safaricom SIMs)?
