The most advanced generation of humanity that ever existed on earth?

Sample this

Holy Bible: {Jeremiah 33:22} "As the stars of the heavens cannot be counted" 630 BC. B4 the invention of the telescope scientists counted the stars to 3000 and they categorized them the telescope was invented in 1608, scientists discovered that there are millions of stars just as the bible mentions.

Quran: {Qur'an 16:68-69} "And your Lord inspired the Bee, build your dwellings in hills, on trees, and in (human's) habitations. Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord, made easy (for you).' There comes forth from their bellies a drink of varying colour wherein is a healing for men. Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think." in the Arabic context the bee mentioned is feminine Arabic differentiates bees by the sex. Its not until the 18th century that European natural philosophers undertook a "scientific" study of the colonies of bees and began to understand the complex bee biology. Huber is regarded as the "father of modern bee science" 1200 years after the Quran

Holy Bible: {Leviticus 17:11} For the life of the flesh is in the blood 1500BC In 1616 William Harvey discovered that blood circulation is the key factor in maintaining life.

Look at the pyramids of Egypt and Sudan and their orientation

We are not smart as we want to think

I doubt it.The Piri Reis maps showing the surface of Antarctica without ice something we discovered last century. The pyramids and their alignment to other ancient landmarks in a line around the world. The great philosophers,inventors,scientists...of modern history having strange connection to secret schools and quoting earlier sources of knowledge.Compared to them I think we're regressing.

Even the fascination with ancient literature in the west is just too telling. Bill Gates bought Codex Leicester - a tartared book for over $US30 Million. In it Leonardo da Vinci explains why fossils can be found on mountains years be4 modern scientists discovered tectonic plates. Iraqis say that so many of their manuscripts went missing after the war....

Reminds me a Steve Jobs quote - He would trade all of his technology for an afternoon with Socrates. What really puzzles me is how these individuals achieved so much with so little i.e. compared to all the technology and knowledge available to us today.

Certainly, absolutely, we are regressing. Moving farther and farther away from the original in all ways.

Records intimate that the antediluvians in their world, with their near pristine mental acuity were far more advanced than us.

Nothing is amazing about Steve Jobs however. He merely made items. What should be amazing is the use the items are put to. There interjects the human mind. Now that, despite its regression, is amazing.

@Muriel - Let me put it in a different way. Were they given the opportunities we have today, would our achievements still look amazing?

@murchr - True. The world is never in jeopardy. This something that was common sense for a long time.A balance with nature in their activities.

If we really are regressing or forsaking simple truths that they held, what could be the cause?

Yes, many many important discoveries were made years ago and a few are still being made and I guess there is so much we have not discovered to date. I have a strong feeling that those were God inspired discoveries made at God's appointed time

I agree. On the first point I blame our education system. The way it approaches history is wrong. It's become a series of selective facts to be regurgitated and at best criticized. It lacks narrative and the intricacies of different views that would invoke appreciation.

I don't think technology is the problem, materialism is.In the sense that technology has become a means to mostly fulfill our materialistic needs and using @Muriel's point pushing away the amazing possibilities we could pursue.
