I'm going to quote to you a verse from the Quran. You owe it to yourself, even the Non-Muslims. Get hold of a copy of the Quran, I say Muslims as well as non-Muslims.
Non-Muslims they must know that they owe it to themselves, since there are 1.4 billion Muslims today. They ought to know how their minds are working. Even as missionaries, who want to talk to the Muslims, intellectually, even them they need the book, to arm yourself as to what the other person believes.
So in Sura Al-Imran chapter 3:19, God tells us, He tells the whole of humanity, He is addressing mindkind.
"
Most certainly, The Religion (the deen, the way) acceptable before Allah is Islam (submission to His Will)"
This means the only way to God, acceptable to God, is Islam.
It continues:
If anyone chooses, a religion other than Islam, he has lost. In the hereafter he has no place.
So what about Judaism? What about ChristianityWhen we say that Islam is the only way, does it mean there is no such thing as Judaism? Is there no such thing as Christianity?
No, there are such systems. And what does the Quran say? It says God does not accept anything except Islam. Only Islam, submission to God's Will. That is what God wants.
So now I have to satisfy @Nabwire and you other brothers and sisters in @Wazua.
How do I justify the statement of the Quran, which says no Judaism, no Christianity, but Islam? I'm telling you it is quite easy. Very easy.
You see Judaism came before Christianity, and Christianity came before Islam.
That is what they whole world will tell you. Just like @Nabwire has told you.
Moses live long before Jesus, and long before Prophet muhammad (peace be upon them all). Anybody will tell you that.
But I'm asking any Jew what is your religion, and he will tell you his religion is Judaism. So I ask them, you can ask the Jew, is this word Judaism in your Torah?
For those who don't know what Torah is, this is the book given to prophet Moses, which was later split into the 5 books of Moses (the Jews says "The Torah", Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Number and Deutronomy). You ask is the word Judaism in Torah, he will tell you no. Is it in your mishnah (the second source of commentaries for the Jews)? He will tell you no, the word Judaism is not in the Torah, it is not in mishnah, it is not in the Talmud. So you see now, it is not there? If it is there, show me, where it is. So where did the word come from? Now I want to know where did they get it? So if he knows, he will explain to you that this term Judaism was created, concocted by the non-Jews.
You see the non-Jews in Palestine, they were looking down upon the Jews.
And they said the religion followed by the children of Judah, in Judea, is Judaism.
Moses did not say that. David or Solomon did not utter that word, they never heard that term Judaism. Jesus never herd the word Judaism. This was a term invented by the people from outside, pointing to the Jews saying the religion of the children of Judah, in Judea, is Judaism. And the Jews liked it, and they adopted it.
If there is any Jew here, who knows any better than that, I would like to hear from him.
Then what was the religion taught by Moses?We believe that the holy prophet Moses was a true messenger of God.
God was directly in communication with him, and whatever he gave in his times to his people was from God, we accept that. But what was his religion? Because he never heard the word Judaism. If Moses is raised alive with us today, or on the other side we get the opportunity of meeting Moses, and if we asked him: Oh Moses, what is your religion? Since he never heard the term Judaism, he can't say Judaism.
I expect him to say that "my religion is the religion of total submission to God's will" (a beautiful definition of the teachings of God). And I will tell him one word for that, in the Arabic language is Islam. Islam means exactly that in one word. Islam is the religion of total submission to the will of God. So what he was teaching was Islam. Maybe himself, he didn't know or use the word Islam, but that is the definition given of Islam. So the teaching of Moses was Islam, not Judaism.
Therefore, God says only Islam is the religion which is accepted in my sight.
No such thing as Judaism or Christianity.
The Meaning of IslamQuote:Lissan al-Arab, one of the most authoritative lexicons of the Arabic language, mentions that the word 'Islam' is derived from the root verb istaslama; which means 'to submit' or 'give in' or 'surrender'.
EtymologyQuote:The word Islam derives from the Arabic triconsonantal root sin-lam-mim (SLM]).
Many different words are created from this root word by inserting different vowels between the three root consonants
Islam -> Submission
Salam -> Well-being/Peace
Saleema -> To be saved or to escape from danger (when refering to a female)
Saleem -> To be saved or to escape from danger (when refering to a male)
Aslam -> To submit
Istaslama -> To surrender
Tasleem -> To receive a salutation or becoming submitted
