The shortest is Nakuru-Subukia-Nyahururu-Ndaragwa-Mweiga-King'ong'o-Kiganjo-NaruMoro-Nanyuki but the more scenic would be Nakuru-Subukia-Nyahururu-Rumuruti-Oljogi-Nanyuki-Narumoro-Kiganjo-King'ong'o into Nyeri.....Remember,you will be passing through bandit country (Laikipia plains)and therefore,avoid night travel

@Njung'e: I certainly has been long. I didn't get to Kwa Maina, I just got very scared when it started raining. If I had more company (other than my siz) I would have dared to go that way. Will definately do that when I go to Loyiangalani next year.

I wish you had responded sooner :(, but that is an excuse for another road trip!

Eerily, when I got to Ol Kalou, I wondered what Guka is doing! hehe!

I am to the East....very close to those blue beautiful mountains. That's where i want to retire to when i am done chasing money and so i am rarely there. Next time you give a buzz when you are passing.You can't miss a live goatsmile ....When is Loyiangalani?

Loyiangalani is in Turkana, right on the lake. Have flown into that place but now I want to drive.

Another question for in-house expert on Kenyan roads aka Njung'e smile What is the best route from Nakuru to Bogoria to Nyahururu to Nanyuki? Sorry I am asking all these as I have never travelled these areas.

Oh yes!!......There is the escarpment stop high above Subukia,Thompson's Falls and if you use the Rumuruti route,you might consider a day stop over at Ol-Jogi ranch ( It's not a cheap place but it's worth every coin).There is also Kuki's place (Ol Ari Nyiro /Mukutan retreat) but you would need no fewer than two days to enjoy what this expansive conservancy has to offer.

There is no accessible route fro Bogoria to Nyahururu.You would still have to turn back to Nakuru and then use either of the two alternative routes to Nanyuki.

Been there by road via Marsabit.... a tough route.Jipange proper!

It's the bush-path leading to Ng'arua i guess which means it doesn't pass through Nyahururu.
