"The Information and Communication Authority (ICTA), a body corporate, provided for under Legal Notice No. 183 of August 2013, has been established under the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology. The ICTA takes over the functions undertaken by the Kenya Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Board, the Directorate of e-Government and the Government Information Technology Services (GITS)."
