To those who reside in Lang'ata. I am no Prophet Dr Owuor the great messiah of doom, but with the daily earth tremors that go unexplained, I am not very optimistic about the general safety of residents.

The tremors occur daily at around midday, without fail. Very brief. About a sec or two. The regularity n briefness not consistent with road construction or just nature.

Anyone experienced this? Iko nini?

One; everybody's days are numbered! We will all die one day but nobody knows when!

Two; regular tremors occurring at the same time daily are definitely man-made. Considering that there is a major construction going on nearby - the by-pass highway - I suspect this is the source.

Three; even if the tremors are explained, what will the residents of Lang'ata do? Move?

China road is blasting several places on the bypass. If you have lived near a road construction of quarry you will know most blasting happens at midday. I gather has to do with wind speeds and rock expansion (wind speed lowest at about then, rocks sufficiently expanded. am no expert though.

Seems there could be another reason for days being numbered - Phenom and Five Star estates could face demolition due to Wilson proximity

Yaani they waited for these people to put up the buildings and sell only for them to now say that they are too close to the airport? I have flown into Heathrow UK and Toronto's Pearson airports and thought we were to land on rooftops since the houses are just next to the airport fence on the approach path. At least at Wilson, unlike at the 2 airports, there are no buildings on the approach path, only the langata cemetery, barracks and Uhuru gardens.

Must be some land seller who told you the lie. I was told Wilson was being moved to Ruiru bypass by some land dealer in 2010!

Eastern and North Africa should be ready for a 7+ earthquake. It's late by about a century according to predictions.
