Panafric is becoming a mad counter.
The rate of rise is alarming without any
technical reason.

Am not so excited to buy a stock at 57
in July and it is now aporoaching 100.
I prefer slow and consistent rise like safcom
powered by a positive news.

Is Q3 result of Panafric out?

I expected 75- 80 bob end of 2013,then circa
120 bob end of 2014.

To me it is a little bit scary. If I am
speculating I would have thought of exciting
as I do not understand the everyday-price-gain
without any fundamental reason for the past
3 weeks.

I am bring realistic. Fingers crossed!

@young Insurance do not release Q1 and Q3 like banks, just half and end year...perhaps their internal auditors crunch the numbers but do not release it

If you look at broker reports for March-April this year, this counter was valued ksh 94 then based on projected profits....i know it stagnated a bit from 60 to 50 then back to 60 after release of H1 results which were above average i must say...

Reason its going up is among other things as @ Aguytrying has said is the possibility of an M n A but even more important is that Sanlam still has to get a minimum 3 million shares to reach their desired 60% threshold...

The above coupled with what i expect to be above 100% growth in net profit as well as a conservative 5 bob dividend at the end of the year make this counter a serious bull....think of carbacid

@Mibbz you better leave KK out of your sums else you may suffer some reputational damage after March 2014.

@ Kausha am firmly in KK as well but i expect a modest 250-350 Mil profit for end year, visited their HQ last week to gauge among other things staff morale and they were upbeat they wouldn't make a loss

As a shareholder i do visit companies i invest in,just to make sure am in sync with reality on the ground through interaction with staff and other people

@obiero will also say that of KQ.

@King G and @Obiero, we all know airline industry is very fluid but am expecting KQ to pull in around 850 Million, KK 250 Million, Mumias shall bearly break even but Pan Africa a conservative 1.15Billion....and am willing to put money where my mouth is.

2 goats for easter to a childrens home of your choice if you win and vis versa if i win, just 2 goats even if 5 guys like @Obiero and @Kausha plus of course yourself and others contribute for them,i shall supply mine alone.....What sayeth thee,in the name of charity?

Different investors have different risk appetites .

(Sanlam buying approx 3m and less than 1m traded as from Aug-Nov) + (226% H1 PAT) + (3bob dividend last FY (all indications ..2013 will be more than 3bob) + (sale of runda plots)

No other counter in the NSE 2013 has such a +ve combination... this is nuclear energy not the normal slow firewood fuel we are used to..
No diagnosis,no pragnosis,no pragnosis no profit......Jesse livermore

@King KQ will make more money than Pan Africa for sure. KK will make more than the combination of all the above.

Just bear in mind there is no more refinery since June and that is 2-3 bob per litre back to oil marketers pockets. You also know these guys run on net margins of 3%.

Hell even KQ is a casino, the whole market idea is a casino where we place our bets, some you win others you get roasted.Let us enjoy betting in Pan Africa.

@ Mibbz you are on. Obviously one can't predict all correctly so we will count the percentage.

on PAT basis
I have KQ between 650m -700m. The business is very fluid post travel advisories.
I have KK between 2B - 3B. The range is wide because of the asset sales, tax credits and right backs.
I got Pan africa somewhere between 600m - 750m.

I will give you my charity of choice. It's somewhere in Githurai and none of those Kiamaiko goats please. The children deserve quality goats.
