The one at Thika Nursing home has no engine!
The one at St Mulumba (7.5km from Thika Nursing) is only used for that hospital's patients. Thuo was at Nursing home - which was the nearest from the Porkies Club where he collapsed.
The one belonging to the defunct Municipality has no night time driver.
Which other one do you know of?
About ferrying him in a personal car... the doctors would not allow that because he was already on supplementary oxygen. It was not possible to put him in a personal car.
BTW: Thuo was the third person that I know who died in Thika because of lack of ambulance service.
It's a big shame for AAR because all three were covered by AAR and AAR does not have an ambulance in the town.
Also a big shame that big hospitals (Matter, Aga Khan, Gertrude's, etc) are just opening clinics in Thika but they have no way of transporting emergency cases to their HQs in Nairobi.
Where are the investors? This is a prime market!
