It is those companies that own trucks that have been sabotaging this development. let us wait and see if it takes off to completion.

Yes but still trucks will be required since the cargo still needs to be moved from the railway stations.. again the convenience and cost reduction will impact the economy directlysmile smile

Even when mobilephones came pple protested about loosing jobs at telkom kenya and in reality mobile communication created more employment opportunities indirectly. If the trains renders 300 trucks jobless per day u can calculate the savings in foreign exchange to import fuel and spare parts will run to millions this money will be channelled to other sectors, and investors will move to other businesses.

Very long overdue. These trucks are normally a nightmare particularly around Salama area. Wish they had their own roads.
