KCB has underutilised strength and unlockin that has proved futile across change in management.. Meanwhile, banks with much lower asset base are angling for a kill! The lion is a CORPORATE bank that needed a connected captain, unfortunately the current one has shown no signs of being a master of these turbulent waters. There is a shift in the market where Coop will emerge second after Equity in next three years

Do you have evidence to back it up or is it a hunch?

The writing is on the wall

@Obiero,your signature...Cooperative Bank should be trading at KES 30,not HFCK...You live with the decisions you make,Co op will get there when Mr Market values it as such,KQ too .
Meanwhile let the ones who stuck with HF enjoy the moment.

by the time coop is at 30.00 HFCK will be at 45.00, my opinion. I own coop also so ill be happy both ways.

coop looks ready to crash 19.00 for the 1st time in a very long time. I'm guessing over a year. and its outperforming the banking laggards almost overtaking bbk! who'da thought

Agreed. "Very meritorious." - Cde

The bottoming of the "U" shaped recovery in earnings will be in March 2014*. Much hinged on banks cutting more loans in btwn that time to offset the fall in interest rates.

[The counter-cyclical play hence favors insurance stocks with large treasury holdings for capital/fair-value gains.]

Would probably HOLD/ACCUMULATE most banks.

I have a TP of KES 25 on or close to release of FYR.. However, even if the same is achieved, I am unlikely to sell since I dont foresee a need for cash

@Boris as a general rule I do not give direct one-on-one advise.. investing in stocks is very personal and involves many metrics, key among them risk appetite.. If this helps, my current portfolio is COOP, KQ & Bank of Kigali
