Thuo died of natural causes and his life could have been saved if there was adequate medical care in Thika. Imagine this: there is no working ICU in this "industrial" capital of Kenya and no operational ambulance service!

He had to wait for an ambulance to come all the way from Nairobi to pick him up and take him to Aga Khan hospital.

The police are just wasting their time and creating unnecessary anxiety by doing their investigations. Many people have died in similar circumstances in this town and it is about time some public or private investor put up a serious medical facility.

It is a big joke to hear that Mt. Kenya University is starting a medical school in Thika!

The next time you go to Thika, pray that you don't fall sick! Superhighway or no superhighway, you will die before you get to the nearest serious hospital!

You've reminded me of 'WAHOME MUTAHI', He of the famous 'Whispers'.Died in Thika, while awaiting proper medical care?

lets wait at least 2 weeks before we start condeming the dead. Right now he doesn't care about what you say or think.

But the family does. That's why we have a mourning period. Its for the family and those that loved him. After they have gotten used to the fact, then lets remove the daggers.

After all, we are panafricanist.

Wahome was operated on and at that time there was no oxygen facility in the theatre at Thika District Hospital. So when he started gasping for breath, they could only watch him go to his maker. We clearly are a banana state.
Lord, thank you!

I know for a fact that there are local ambulances in Thika - why couldnt they use one? Or use his car to ferry him to Aga Khan?

I have had the misfortune of looking for an ambulance in Thika town at 10.00pm without success. I opted to drive the patient all the way to Nairobi in a saloon car. I had to beg a nurse to accompany me. The unfortunate bit is that the town does not have a reliable high dependency unit leave alone an ICU. The Thika level five hospital is nothing to write home about. Any serious investor out there?

For you information, even Gertrudes and Mater near Tuskys depend on St Johns ambulance though I have noticed Naindu has a relatively new one. The Thika Nursing home one has not moved for months.

just as it happened when George Kapten died in his sleep after wrong medication and political theorists quickly pointed a finger at Kijana Wamalwa.

George Thuo went to jivinjari with friends (Reggea night), felt some excess joto around midnight, fainted and died before making it to Thika Nursing home....Sad

I think these are the results of watching Mohammed Ali's series; the one about Kilonzo the former police boss + the sweating.
