If a child washes his hands, he could eat with kings - If you prepare and allow yourself to be well trained, when an opportunity presents itself you be ready for it.

Proverb: "Do not call a person a witch before he has bewitched you"

Meaning: Do not get prejudiced about someone just from what you hear. Evaluate their behaviour for yourself first and then make conclusion about them.

Proverb: "We say that the ear is a poor fellow"

Meaning: The ear receives everything, which is uttered, bad and good as well as truth and lies. The mind is therefore necessary to sieve the information and retain only what is valid.

Proverb: "We should not hate the hated until we sleep in their home"

Meaning: Do not hate someone just because others say he is bad; wait prove it for yourself. Do not follow the current but make assessment of other people.

Mbloo, ni swali tu. No hidden agenda. If you look at most posts, there's an origin eg Yoruba Nigeria, Njaaruo(but I'm yet to see any, do they have?), Dorobo etc.

Where EXACTLY are these ones of yours from?

Meaning: an article or some property may not appear valuable in the eyes of the public, but to the owner it is valuable.
