Is it just me or is safcom runnin out of ideas?is this the best they can do for their lower end clientele

Back in the day my dad would knock off work early with a notification for an urgent telegram for the mboch and with mum take mboch to receive it. On reading(this at times prank with her bf) would start wailing how 'bamba ni mgonjwa sana' apelekwe kwa bus arudi. All this drama today can be delivered at the cost of a bob. So what is 5bob? I think it was named bamba coz it was always a sick 'bamba'

Sh 5/500cents @ 80cents a min gives you 6.25 min of talk time.

Don't dismiss it yet,there must be some insights into why they launched the 5/- and 10/-.
One thing I know is MJ has a great team of marketers and they never do anything for the sake. Think about it,how many times have they gotten it wrong? With schools closing and kids needing to keep in touch over the holidays,with 10/- they can get a couple of emails out plus facebook.
I also think they'll introduce an X-mas/holiday tariff that will work well with this. And don't forget that as usual we'll all be broke in Jan.

cheap is expensive.you cant talk with five shilling unless you want to leave the other guy in suspense.

safaricom,most of the time,charges 8/per min so 5/= is less than a minute and if you are talking to someone in the other networks then its better you write a single sms or just say hi,before you are disconnected.
