Gifted kids academically

Dear medical wazuans,i have been thinking and overthinking of a situation i myself is in.
I have 2 sons.Different fathers.
They are both extremely brilliant academically.
1st son never gets below number 3 in class.He is in class 7.Average score is 420 out of 500 always.
2nd son is more brilliant than the 1st.He has never been number 2 in his life.always number 1.Average score is 580 out of 600.
However this is what puzzles me.Father 1 was a below average in class and socially.The only thing that helped him in life is that his folks were loaded...otherwise.....
Father 2 was more daft academically and incoherent socially.
Mother(me) am just an average student and i hate school.Am doing my masters because i have to and i die a thousand deaths when i think of school.
So help me...where did the kids get those brains from?certainly not me nor the fathers.....My family line is not brilliant minded either

Hope they are not in "Kajinga Academy" where every kid gets over 400marks till KCPE is out and the highest has 298.

Yours is a case of a bit of genes (Polygenic inheritance) that have been inherited from both you and your spouses and nature(good education for the kids.
If you stay ready, no need to get ready.

so what is the problem?

Ok.....

1. Do you have a problem with your kids being bright?
2. Are you sure of their fathers' identity? Its like you are doubting if it was really them who did the landing those two productive occasions!!
3. What is the average score of the KCPE results for the last ten years in the kids school? That will assist wazuans respond better.
4. Have you ever done an IQ on them?
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

Wait till they reach high school thats when you can truly gauge their performance. Its most likely the time those genes you are talking about will kick in...or not

come on all kids are daft.

They fail such simple questions like 1+1

You are talking like someone who's shocked their kids are bright. That's very strange.

yaaani, what were you doing with an average man socially and then run into the hands of a more daft incoherent man socially???? Seriously, how did they (especially the later) even "tune" you and most importantly, convince you to have their babies or they are not incoherent in that field? (on a light note... am dead laughing)

Anyway, am happy for your kids. Just thank God for them and move on swiftly.....smile
