In South Africa the premium package goes for 499rands equivalent of 4,990/=. while here the same package is $73 equivalent equivalent 5,600/=.

While we pay more,SA gets to watch extra matches like Italian League and more Champion league matches.

These guys have been advertising a number of games but end up showing very few.

In Champions league last night they had said they would show 4 games live but ended showing only 2 games. I suspect the same will happen tonight where they are promising 4 games,SS5 and SS6 will be showing repeats of some funny game.

We need competition in this area. Are there any other alternatives for sports? How soon will the Zuku Tv roll out? Is it likely to be better or it will be a new GTV?

eduu my friend, welcome to the real world. this is the corrupt country called kenya. ave got news for you buddy: the excess you pay goes to some fat politician's pocket. remember some satellite tv called GTV which came down crashing and millions of investors lost millions of dollars thru out africa? well, the govts of South Africa and Nigeria had banned this gtv from their soil coz their investigations had found it weak and fraudulent like a ponzi scheme. in kenya,it was given a clean bill of health. now go figure. your pain is someone's gain. welcome to a banana republic!

Dstv is a business. It's kinda like take it or leave it. So I don't see any need to complain. Gtv came offered stiff competition but dstv prices remained the same and they're still here. So maybe it's their business model that does not allow them to charge less or maybe it's the numbers. I can bet you SA pays less for internet, clothes at Deacons, food at steers, mobile phone and fixed phones etc. So instead of blaming Dstv, blame your inefficient government.

Bright and interesting people talk about ideas. Those of average intelligence talk about things. Stupid people talk about other people.

Pay your bills or quit!

The chief value of money lies in the fact that one lives in a world in which it is overestimated.

Start an effective consumer lobby group and I guess everything will change.DSTV is just one of the problems.
