Anyway, I see facebook as being like the village gossip square where everyone brings all their mucene and airs it for all to know.

Twitter is a bit more mature but lately, a lot of the facebook gang are bringing their bad manners to twitter.

fb is the 'common man' forum. You'll even find your uncle there! It has everyone, even that primary sch kid. Twitter is good but twitter handles do not allow discussions like fb does espp with groups. I have seen long threads in groups like Farming Kenya. A group that beats wazua on maturity by far. No gossip, no politics.

twitter is shouting in the street! everyone hears. facebook is talking to acquaintances finding out what they are doing e.t.c.

facebook is a place where you image craft and show your former classmates and old friends just how cool you are these days. you post photos from your travels, check in to cool places e.t.c.
you are only influential on twitter if you are actually good before hand.

to me they are different products for different things. I tweet occasionally but Facebook often. With windows phone you can use both without caring where you are posting - kinda nice.
