averaging down safaricom by huge purchases to kes 4.6 and eventually selling at kes 3.8 when it started taking a dive.. I should have held on coz fundamentals hadnt changed significantly. I panicked. That was my worst mistake
IPO safcon, got a meager amount; then dipped more at post IPO at 7.50...never cried internally like that.
Sold off during the economic depression at 3.50...massive loss...should have waited since the cash collected from the diposal is still lying at some gaaament bills..
Thank you guys
, while you were busy throwing away those shares, I was seriously collecting them at all times lows. Now laughing all the way to my broker
the chair stressing me right now is TPS especially with all this Al Shabaab menace.

I have laughed my all. Thank you guys. I started trading in campo with Co-op and Safcom IPO. Made losses and quit. Now I'm back promised myself never to buy anything IPO. Been trading for the last 7 months. I have a huge chunk of Mumias stressing me day and night coz I average 4.4 bob.

Nice thread with solid lessons.
My huge mistake was KQ(I was attached to that counter then), bought it at mid thirties then watched it drop till I jumped ship at below 20, Never again!!!!

Eveready those batts cost me a 40% loss even when i averaged. It taught me never to buy ipos and never to listen to the hype. Lesson - do your own research and trust your instincts.

Bought HFCK at circa KES 14 and offloaded at KES 25. Indeed a profit was made but now the bloody thing is at KES 50.. Not my worst mistake but a tingly feeling of slight regret looms. I find solace in the famous words of Warren Buffet...

Pole I hope lost patience in good time! Financial lessons! In these business there's no one who is too smart. Sometimes its like wondering your neighbor's kid is on top of the class and yours at the bottom! Good luck!

Bought KQ at 20. Decided not to sell when it hit 60. Sold kq at 20 to move to another counter. I feel foolish!!

Jumped greedily into carbacid immediately after split and bonus @57bob.. I've seen it drop to 27bob.
All is not lost but I should have waited.
