My brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen,SBT Japan has the worst form of customer service, be warned. I paid for a unit early September and the sales person i dealt with promised me that he will organise shipment so that I receive the unit mid october. At the begining of october i checked my account and shock on me,they had updated my account to indicate that the ETD was to be in December. So that meant i had to wait for 3 months before i receive my vehicle. After making a lot of noise, they changed the ETD to October. The vehicle arrived at the port this week(november) but to my disappointment they have not send the shipment documents upto now. For the last three weeks, I have been requesting them to send the shipment documents on time but to no avail. In fact they dont reply to my emails.

Now what kind of customer service is this? They have just lost a serious customer. I will never ever buy another unit from SBT Japan.

So my good people, be warned.

SBT might be having some difficulties. Just last week I was in their Yokohama offices to get a Wazuan BL which they had not sent.

Have you tried dealing with the customer service section directly instead of your agent through csd@sbtjapan.com? I had a similar challenge in August this year I kept writing to customer service. I realized if you don't follow up with them you will not receive BL in good time

There are some units they claim to have shipped to the port such as this
How genuine are they because according to Kenyan law (one cannot import more than an 8 year old vehicle from the date of first registration)
I need some insight.

Lexx,
The units are destined to neighboring countries that use the port of mombasa. They can also buy units on the ship or already shipped and clear with their relevant customs authorities. They are not intended for kenya

Is there anyone who has bought a unit from them at the port of entry i.e. Mombasa. Lately they have been shipping the units up to Mombasa and other ports. Is the process any easier and less complicated as compared to buying the unit from their offices in Japan?

I think it's for "non-Kenyans" i.e. for other markets like TZ though not sure.
The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.
