CORRIDORS OF POWER: Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko is unlikely to defend his seat in the next election. The man has reportedly registered for a degree course in one of the private universities to acquire a degree which will make him eligible to run for the office of governor. Some of the local city politicians who want to 'succeed' him are already laying plans to ensure they clinch the senate seat come 2017. READ MORE http://ow.ly/qsqOt

What's the point of having a degree requirement for Governor positions or the Presidency? I don't see such requirements creating better leaders at all. Maybe they create more demand for University education, but that's not much really if capital and markets run beyond such rules.

To think that I can queue to vote for Sonko because he has a degree and gives money to the poor, is to think with the greatest slave mentality ever.

Waiguru will not make it in Nairobi. Kirinyaga would be a sure bet.

Obviously we would like more participants from the other side for Kidero to retain the seat smile

The Nairobi move is for getting back to positive light, after sometime she'll be all clean.

With the happenings in mombasa with the anticipated omar vs joho contest looks like wiper is not willing to play second fiddle anymore they will have a candidate most likely mwau given how close the 2013 elections were in nairobi you cannot afford to lose any voting block. A fallout in jap with the casualty being sonko is the best odm can hope for otherwise this sit is good as gone
