Good info and happy for you.
I hope when they notice that many people are calling and concern they will get their act together. Safaricom is a big company but with bad employee it can cause major heart achesince many come in trusting there judgement. I hope my experience will make them wake up....

I am new to safaricom investment cooperative, actually I just been accepted, is any other member able to access their profiles online? They've given me a very generic user name and pass word to login......same user and password.

I have been a member for a longtime and would love to have that option as well. The login will give you access to info that is for all member’s consumption. Member statements will not be accessible currently through the website. Am sure they are working on it.....

NO you cannot access your profile online. kwanza the website that i have known for as long as i have been a member (www.sic.co.ke) ain't working and another one with a funny name is up. Something fishy is cooking at this place. I do not know what it is but i will investigate.

wao wao thanks BGL for this link. It seems as if its a mirror of the original website. Most of the information is the same. Out of curiosity i tried to login with the generic logon info but got an error. I also noticed that there Latest from the Blogs shows June and they don't have a contact us page.Seems Fraud to me.
This are my concerns:
1. Does SIC know about this website
2. How come its more accessible than http://sic.co.ke

Please do your investigation and i will do mine. I smell a RAT.....

What are your experiences dealing with the office personell? I feel like I feel as if there is some unease on their part.

Must be honest on this. Those I've dealt with are quite friendly. I realize they endeavor to give responses (however suspicious they may be).

On the Issue of Website. I just suspect their "wannabie techie" amelemewa, and that they may be trying to avoid getting REAL proff services (expensive, and not Core Business). The guy must have tried to use a different domain..for testing etc.. The trick here is that, they need a Website with content that changes very fast. Outsourcing this may be expensive, compared to sites where they don't need to change content every time.

That said, I believe they can do better.

Webish you are right. The website was for testing purposes.

I sent their webmaster an inquiry about the website yesterday. I got no reply to my email so today I sent the message to the general email address and they confirmed.

http://sic.nextecsolution.net/ is DOWN today.

I have the very same question about the Title taking too long to process. Has anyone received any title form the sacco?

My biggest concern about SIC is over selling the plots. i.e if they have 10 plots they sell to more than 10 people hence some people end up paying but don't get allocated the plots they chose.

Is it a honest mistake or are they getting greedy?? Please make sure that you have been allocated the plot number you signed for. You may be shocked 2 years down the line that your plot has been given to someone else. You will get your money back but they have used your money to grow there company and instead of compensating you they will still charge you the 10,000 withdrawal fee.

If anyone knows how to fight this please share

What????Is this your experience or you just overerheard somewhere?Am having the first plot with them paid in instalment.I wil seek a written confirmation that I wil get the plot I choose tomorrow failing which I will withdraw coz I hate being shortchanged.Btw is there a provision for filling the plot number un their offer letter?

(sorry i register under my yahoo account and the system couldn't let me sign in as truth101)
Its my own experience and its very frustrating since the plot numbers are on the offer letter.
So my issue was how can they really give the plot to someone else when I have the offer letters in my hand.
Well am afraid to go through the legal system since i know they have very good lawyers hence am afraid this will prolong the time when i get my money back. I can live with the 30 days they have given me.
I also have another plot that i have paid off in Salama which they have said that the Title should be ready. Am crossing my fingers and if i dont get it by end of November i guess it will be time to withdraw completely and sell all my shares and tell all my friends to run very fast away from SIC

Biting more than they can chew?d'oh! There is time value for money. If you hold someone's money and property for two years, what opportunity cost does he suffer not using his money and/or not using his land.

There is something terribly wrong there, including their office arrangement. That overcrowding in a small space isn't good for provision of efficient services.

In addition does anyone have information on the Elangata plots? After i purchased the 5 acre Elangata plot I found this on the internet and it seems to be the same location SIC was selling;

I emailed the SIC office about this and have not heard back.

Do you have a Title for it already? and is it SIC who sold it to you? (or you just happened to have bought next to where SIC was selling?)

This SIC still stinks even after the sacking of the General Manager, projects officer and supervisory committee secretary in August 2013.

The only thing worthy talking about is the bluebells apartments project which seems to be on track.

No i do not have a title. I am in the process of buying and wondering whether i should pull out. My suspicion was raised when i noticed that the map SIC was using when selling the plots was titled "Elangata VI subdivision (PROPOSED SUBDIVISION OF Kajiado/Elangata-wuas/ 773)". If you refer to pages 15, 16, 23, and 29 of
http://www.shomonews.com...RANCH-LAND-SCANDALS.pdf
it lists C 1:- Kajiado Elangata wuas/ 773 as one of the disputed lands. I am confused

Credibility is vital in land business and this has been the rock for SIC , I still would want to believe they are credible unless proven otherwise and I start seeing cases in court. My beef with them is that they are not answering emails....I hope all is well down therePray
