Core capital/total risk weighted assets ratio down to 15.3% (from 16.5% in Q2 2013) against statutory minimum of 10%. With increased appetite in the country for loans, its either KCB go for another rights issue or increase its retention ratio in order to shore up the core capital

Revenues Contribution; Kenya=82% Uganda=3.2% Tanzania=3.3%
PBT Contribution; Kenya=89.3% Uganda=1.3% Tanzania=0.1%
KCB has been in Tz since 1997 and in Ug from 2007. The Tz outfit is a guzzler. Is it time to rethink its going concern?
